Me? I’d go for the new WRX if it comes in a manual wagon format. The bugeye wagon was awesome and it’s high time they repeat that awesomeness.

A Mclaren. Which is why I’m going to be driving the Abarth until I win the lottery.

I guess a new 370Z? Does anyone else still make a RWD, manual transmission car with hydraulic steering?
![]() 09/01/2019 at 15:07 |

What makes you choose that over a 150 or a 350?

Lotus Evora

YES. This is the correct answer. Plus I would still have excuse to wrench on it myself in spite of it being a new car because Lotus.

Agreed, new cars suck.

Colorado ZR2, or a Ranger. Hopefully.

Huzzah to the Colorado! My son loves that truck.

Id trade my TLX in for a new Miata..or something smaller and lighter

If the new Bronco is everything that it looks like it will be, I would happily trade in my 1-series on one.

Regal TourX with the tan interior and a non-boring color, or a manual Sonic hatch in “shock” (green) with the red interior
GM sucks, but at least they still offer cool colors on the Spark and Sonic, and the TourX is an amazing value. A wagon with a big panoramic sunroof for 25k is a good deal (even if a third seat would’ve be nice, but still)
Toyota
makes the best cars though, so the manual Corolla hatch naturally is the best choice. The blue is nice, but they need some more cool colors (the only thing GM does better than Toyota right now), and the lack of sunroof sucks so much! Even so, Webasto can always take care of that. They used to make a panoramic sunroof, but they don’t anymore. Sad!

Hard to pick one, so I’ve be happy with either a GTI or an Accord Sport

M2 competitione.
NSX (wait, you said NEW... nevermind)
Maybe an Alfa 4C
V90 manual (other countrie s could get a manual, right?)
C8 Corvette. God, I never thought I’d want to own a Corvette.... Kudos Chevy.

yeah - I’m itching to see what the new WRXy is going to look like, (and if they offer it in the hatch.) Also curious if Mazda will pull the trigger on a Speed3.

When your driving a beater anything new is likely better.

a new ford aerostar
![]() 09/01/2019 at 15:59 |

Well since they arent going to be making the FOST i guess a veloster turbo. My choice? Probably a tacoma.

I think I’d probably trade the F-150 for a new one. It’d be a blue 4x4 SuperCab with the 5.0.

New? I’d change my one Kia for a Rav4 hybrid and a GT86, and also a lift
I hace considered it because I could actually afford it
![]() 09/01/2019 at 16:44 |

What would I trade it in for? By which you mean, I’d have to buy the thing I’m trading it in for? Hmm.....
I don’t know if there’s anything. All the wagons I’d want are well out of my price range.
![]() 09/01/2019 at 16:47 |

I could also trade in for one of these:

That’s a tough question because nobody makes the kind of car I like anymore, namely sporty minivans with manual transmissions. I don’t need a minivan, I just like them. Because of this, I can’t see replacing my trusty little Mazda5 with anything currently sold in the US. But if somehow I was forced to buy another new car, like if mine was wrecked, I’d probably get a Miata.

Literally any.
I DD a 1993 escort lx with 4 speed auto...

A CT6, or a C8, or even a new K900, which is a completely different car than the one I drive. I have a day dream that I save the life of some Kia dealership owner, and in gratitude, he gives me one. Sometimes it’s Stinger. It depends on what is on the showroom floor as I’m waiting for service to bring my car around.

My wife’s Jeep can be the family hauler, but a usable backseat would still be nice. Challenger Scat Pack Widebody. It edges out a Mustang GT350R.

Audi RS6 Avant. Or Porsche Panamera Turbo S Sportwagen. Only because the M3 is going to baby terribly.

I think I’d take a hard look at the 2020 Honda Clarity. Since GM killed the Chevy Volt, a plug in hybrid family sedan that can go almost 50 miles on electric sounds intriguing.

Indian FTR 1200
My first pick would be a Ninja H2, but that sounds like a great way to meet Death before he gets to his next stop, so definitely the Indian instead.
If “new” included old stuff, Honda CBX (inline 6) or Suzuki RE5 (rotary).

I would say the new Outback 2.4XT but my wife pretty much decided that she just wants to buy one without trading in to keep the current Outback as a beater for camping.
Yeah so if the new WRX has a wagon my money will be gone instantly. I was seriously considering trading in the Forester for a Gladiator but the prices for one the way I want it equipped are just too high and dealers aren’t budging on MSRP near me yet. So at this point I’m gonna wait and see what the next WRX brings.

Challenger Hellcat. Lesser Challengers get EPS.

I’d trade my V70 for any of the new V series wagons
that they would hand me the keys to. I would totally trade the Mrs. CX-5 for a new Mazda5.

Well, I suppose a singer, maybe a Icon. Probably a singer. Or, are we being realistic? I don't think I'd get much if that's the case. 1 payment toward a Tata Nano if I'm lucky

Do you have any idea why that is? I would have thought the larger mass up front would require higher boosted steering assist that would be easier to achieve electronically

Current ride: 2016 Mazda6.
What I’d trade it on: a 2018 Toyota Camry XSE. Hate all you want but at least I know the Camry will survive the sedan-apocalypse. The 6, maybe not. :(
